OB Crew
Crewing for broadcast and production: plan an event, book the freelance operators it needs.
Production companies plan their events in OB Crew, break each one into the jobs it needs filled, and send offers to the operators they want. Operators keep a calendar, take offers, find listed work and build a profile from the jobs they have done.
It is for production of every kind, not only outside broadcasts, despite the name.
what it does
- 01
Events broken into jobs
Each event is split into the jobs it needs, by department and role, with times and a rate. Each job shows at a glance whether it is needed, pending or confirmed.
- 02
Offers that cannot clash
Several operators can be offered the same job. The first to accept gets it, the other offers are withdrawn, and nobody can be booked twice for the same hours.
- 03
A calendar for operators
Operators mark the time they are not available, and offers for those hours cannot be sent or accepted.
- 04
A job board and profiles
Companies can list work openly for operators to apply to. Each operator's profile grows from the jobs they have done.
- 05
Held to their word
Cancelling at short notice needs a reason, and the other side is shown it.
